Persian Translator (Contract)

NetFreedom Pioneers is seeking an individual passionate about human rights and social change to join our team as a Persian Translator.  In this role, you will translate our programmatic materials, such as training content to software, from English to Persian, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

Your responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Translating programmatic materials (documentation, software interfaces) from English to Persian
  • Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check the quality of translation
  • Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy
  • Follow up with internal team members to ensure translation meets their needs
  • Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

Required

  • Native or advanced proficiency (written and spoken) in Persian and English
  • Prior experience working as a translator, interpreter, or similar role
  • Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
  • Experience working in multicultural environments and teams, and strong cross-cultural communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple ongoing assignments
  • Ability to work independently and deliver tasks on deadline

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

Work may be performed in the office in person, or remotely by prior arrangement
