Program Coordinator, East Asia Programs

NetFreedom Pioneers is seeking a Program Coordinator to join our East Asia Programs division. In this role, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating program logistics, assisting with program development, and ensuring efficient communication among stakeholders. This role will report to the East Asia Program Manager and work in close coordination with the NFP administrative personnel.

WORK LOCATION

The Program Coordinator should be based in Seoul, and the work will be performed in a remote setting.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

Your responsibilities include and are not limited to:

Program Coordination and Administration

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of programs, ensuring they align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Assist in developing program timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Maintain program records, documentation, and databases.
  • Prepare and distribute program-related materials and communications.
  • Contribute ideas and insights to improve existing programs and develop new initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Communicate with program participants, partners, and volunteers to provide information and support.
  • Foster positive relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless program implementation.

Event and Workshop Coordination

  • Support in organizing events, workshops, and training sessions related to program initiatives.
  • Manage event logistics, including scheduling, venue coordination, and materials preparation.
  • Coordinate participant registration and feedback collection.

Monitoring and Reporting 

  • Support the drafting of regular reports on program performance, including key metrics and accomplishments.
  • Identify and address issues or challenges in program implementation.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with colleagues to align program efforts with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and cross-functional collaborations.

    You Are A Great Fit For This Role If

    • You are passionate about technology and digital rights and have some technical experience or knowledge.
    • You have a good understanding of the digital rights context in the East Asia region and are part of and in touch with different networks in the region.
    • You have experience working remotely with distributed teams.
    • You have previous experience in program coordination or project management at a nonprofit organization.
    • You are an adaptable and well-organized systematic thinker.
    • You have excellent people and communication skills.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a program coordinator / project manager.
    • Proficiency in English and Korean (written and spoken).
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace (formerly G Suite).
    • Experience working in multicultural environments and teams and strong cross-cultural communication skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple ongoing assignments.
    • Ability to work independently and deliver tasks on deadline.

    Benefits

    The salary for this position starts at $35,000 per year.
