Technical Coordinator, East Asia Programs

NetFreedom Pioneers is seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator to join our East Asia team. In this role, the Technical Coordinator will provide technical support, coordinate tasks, implement project plans, ensure timely implementation of deliverables, maintain communications with project stakeholders, attend meetings with partners, and perform technical research. This role will report to the East Asia Program Manager, and work in close coordination with NFP’s technology and engineering team.

JOB DUTIES

Support the technical personnel and the engineering team in the maintenance, debugging, and operation of NFP’s developed technologies.  Liaise between the technical and nontechnical staff and third-party providers, and act as the technical point of contact for the assigned projects and as a Mobile Application Liaison, collaborating with third-party providers supplying tools or services related to Android and iOS development. Research, identify and manage third party technology contractors and service providers. Test and bug reporting of in-house software applications, including functional testing, UI/UX testing, regression testing and performance testing, Involved in project management and responsible for coordination of activities, resources, equipment and information of internal technology teams and third-party technology providers. Involved in project monitoring and evaluation, including data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports to donors and partners. Identify needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, and asset management, driving required changes to make sure designers and engineers are working at optimum efficiency. Liaise with users and partners to identify and define technical project requirements, scope and objectives and to prioritize requirements based on importance, impact, and feasibility. Support users during pre-release testing through feedback channels. Prepare instructional materials, technical guidelines and documentation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the Job Offered or three (3) years of experience as a Software Developer or Mobile Developer.

SPECIAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Experience must include the following: programming languages (C#, Java, or Python); HTML, CSS and JS; back-end development: Node.js; familiarity with web hosting and platforms, Android and iOS development; Database design and implementation; DVB-S satellite application development. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.

SALARY

$97,594 /year; 40 hours/week; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
